Here at Julian Center for Comprehensive Dentistry, our priority is to run a patient-centric dental practice that utilizes top-of-the-line technology to guarantee comfort, efficiency, and excellence to our patients. Our approach towards treatment incorporates holistic Eastern philosophy and advanced modern technology, in what can only be the best version of East meets West.
The seamless incorporation of cutting-edge technology is one of many things that distinguish our dental practice. Our friendly staff and extremely compassionate dentist are other reasons why you should visit us for your next dental appointment.

Our Technology

We utilize a wide range of technology solutions for our dental treatment procedures, including:

Intraoral Cameras

Intraoral cameras allow our dentist to perform thorough evaluations during your dental exam. By projecting images of your oral cavity onto a computer screen, an intraoral camera enables the dentist to view hard-to-reach parts of your mouth that may be hidden to the naked eye. Projected images also allow the patient to follow along and have an unobstructed look at the state of the teeth, gums, and other tissues, something that comes in handy during oral education.

Pharyngometer

A pharyngometer is a device that allows for the measurement of oropharyngeal tract configuration. In simple terms, we use our pharyngometer to determine the best position for a mandibular advancement appliance for patients who have obstructive sleep apnea. Measurement allows us to customize the MAA device to suit the unique needs of every individual patient.

Digital X-Rays and 3D Imaging

By adopting digital radiography, we have significantly reduced the amount of radiation that our patients and staff are exposed to. Our incorporation of cone-beam computed tomography (CBCT) 3D x-rays also allows us to detect dental pathologies that may go undetected on 2D x-rays.

Spectra Technology for Early Cavity Detection

Do you want to save your tooth before its too late? You can do this and avoid costly and invasive procedures if you detect cavities in a good time. Fortunately for you, we utilize Spectra™ early dental caries detection technology, thus allowing you to get intervention before it’s too late. Spectra technology allows us to catch those small, hidden cavities before they become bigger issues later on.

BIOLASE Dental Laser

Do you hate the sight and sound of a dental drill? Thanks to the BIOLASE dental laser, you will never have to deal with a dental drill again. Whether you’re coming in for cavity treatment or gum surgery, the BIOLASE laser promises non-invasive, virtually painless treatment that’s also noise-free. Other benefits of the BIOLASE dental laser include less trauma and less bleeding.

Nightlase® by Fotona

Nightlase by Fotona is a laser treatment for patients struggling with sleep apnea. The Nightlase laser safely penetrates the oral mucosa tissue to cause a tightening effect, which translates into less obstructed airways and fewer snores.

T-Scan Occlusal Analysis System

The T-Scan is an occlusal analysis system that assesses the occlusion or bite of a patient. Based on the outcome of the analysis, our dentist will develop a personalized treatment plan to correct any identified malocclusion.

Piezo Ultrasonic Scalers

We use piezo ultrasonic scalers for painless scaling during your dental exams and cleaning appointments, and also for scaling and root planing procedures.

Mercury Scavenger

Do you need your silver amalgam fillings removed? We use a mercury scavenger to ensure that the removed fillings don’t make it to the water waste system. We also rely on other protective equipment to ensure everyone is safe during the removal process.

MaxPulse Testing

Our MaxPulse testing system is used for cardiovascular monitoring. We use this to keep an eye on your heart rate before, during, and after dental procedures, especially those involving surgical interventions.

PosturePro

PosturePro works to identify postural imbalances as well as forward head posture, which may be indicative of underlying dental problems. Poor posture can contribute to jaw pain or temporomandibular joint disorder (TMD). We also have ROM for evaluating the cervical range of motion to identify the underlying causes of TMD.

TruDenta System

Our protocol for treating facial pain and TMD includes multiple pieces of equipment from the TruDenta system— AlphaStim, Ultrasound, and Microcurrent stimulation.

Low-Level Laser Therapy

Low-level laser therapy uses photobiomodulation for our patients to reduce inflammation, support gum healing, and reduce tooth sensitivity.

What to Expect

Besides performing technology-driven dental procedures, we go above and beyond to ensure that you feel safe and relaxed throughout your appointment. We offer complementary anti-anxiety support to all our patients before their dental visit. This support is in the form of homeopathic remedies, supplements, bach flowers, relaxation music, Alpha-Stim device, Emotional Freedom Technique (EFT) guidance, and essential oils.

During your procedure, we administer local anesthesia to ensure you’re free from pain throughout. We administer anesthesia using The Wand, a simple yet innovative device that delivers anesthesia painlessly.

We use ozonated gas, water, and gel to keep our office environment sterile and microbes-free. We also rely on portable HVAC air filters, made using NASA technology, to prevent mold and other airborne pathogens.

What’s more, we have placed electromagnetic field (EMF) protectors at strategic points throughout the office to protect our patients against the adverse effects of “dirty electricity.”
After your treatment is complete, our dentist may recommend a NanoVi™ session. NanoVi technology aims at promoting healing and oxidative stress relief by stimulating cellular repair and regeneration. Patients can also opt for Light Portal™ therapy sessions. Light Portal relies on light color spectrum and sound to promote healing and relaxation. If none of these two float your boat, we also have pulsed electromagnetic field (PEMF) therapy, a technique that reduces inflammation in the body, thus encouraging the body’s natural healing process; Bioptron Quantum Hyperlight and biocharging machine.

Do you have allergies? Are you worried that your next dental appointment will result in rashes, nausea, and other allergic reactions? We offer biocompatibility testing for dental materials through a blood test or ZYTO technology testing. This way, you can always be certain that the materials we use are safe for you.

If you’re in search of a dental practice that has leveraged on modern-day technology to ensure the provision of outstanding dental services to its patients, then Julian Center for Comprehensive Dentistry promises to meet as well as exceed your expectations.
